Awakening

In the darkness, I met red eyes. It had no will, was inorganic, and it seemed like something had awakened within its existence, which was supposed to have been destroyed. I felt fear of this unknown being, but I couldn't control my strong curiosity and ended up talking to it. "Who are you?"
