Year of the Rabbit

2023 is the year of the rabbit in the Chinese calendar. The rabbit is in many cultures a symbol of good luck, and I wanted to crate a painting that instill a feeling of good times and optimism. Like spring anticipates summer:) As a reference I used a photo from Vogue Japan 2015 by photographer: Giampaolo Sgura. The rabbits in the backround I worked out on the canvas itself. The Original Oil painting is 100x120cm and debuted at Galleri Ramfjord, january 2023
