白色ないし明るく鮮やかな灰色であり、金属光沢を持つ銀色。 古来から愛されてきた「金」についで貴重な金属であり、白金（しろかね）とも呼ばれる。 純粋無垢の意味をもつ。 White or bright, bright gray with metallic luster. Silver.
